Backed by present events and visible investment into renewables in Australia and globally. Yep, going against this is certainly being a 'realist'.
If you believe that the bulk of Australia's mineral exports to China is coal, then you are showing just how much you know about the topic. China doesn't have the choice to 'move away' from minerals such as iron ore in the near term, and the value of this export far exceeds that of coal.
Your argument based around coal exports is quite redundant, considering we are discussing future tech here...
