what timing! no surprise PPT FUM down 8% but they don't split it (smoke n mirrors) like PDL does. $98bn FUM down to $90bn but no split between funds, mkt perf nor FX.
Since FX was a $4bn GAIN for PDL, i reckon PPT lost way more than ~8bn (net) in mkt movement (they attriobuted the fall mainly to mkt movt, so if the experienced an FX gain, they actually lost alot more than $8bn in mkt movt), so what do u know??? - they both experienced similar mkt movements in a quarter.....
PDL now has $20BN MORE FUM than PPT.....yet want to pay less than their mkt cap for the t/o?
