actually treatment of indigenous people has been and continues to be a challenge across the western world. Not sure about other parts so won’t comment. Sure there are initiatives designed to overcome centuries of maltreatment and disadvantage and suppression of culture but I think you’d be hard pressed to find a place where indigenous culture is actually cherished
