well rexy this is so true.

Unlike the leafy green Teals, I actually grew up on a coastal estuary,

At roughly age 6 I learnt to fish off the Air Sea Rescue jetty on the Currumbin Creek. This Creek and The Alley is my heritage.

Don't, and couldn't, live there anymore, BUT, can promise there are rocks on that estuary that show high and low water marks haven't budged in that near 50 years.

Both Currumbin and Tallebudgera creeks swerved across, between respective headlands and often joined as one rivermouth over the eons.

What is now "Palm Beach" has all been creek -ie:water- at some point in history. Malawa Drive canals, the bloody sports grounds, the lot, all built out of / on pumped sand .

That is what I'd call a micro timeline, say 500 to 1000 years.

However, were I live now and spend my rec. time, the SE corner of Aust and Far south Coast, I talk to the elders and spend mucho time up Big Mama Mountain amongst the Tors, lets just call her The Big G, tuning into the "old people" (NO I'm NOT a complete redneck fascist, oh contrare', it's just a game I play), and those folk explain to me much of their historical habitat is now 'in the sea" IE: UNDERWATER . Now we are talking a more medium timeline, say 2000 to 5000 years and more, ago, in human time, obviously not earth time.

All this has bugger all sweet FA, to with the cooked up climate emergency. It's just nature in flux, as nature does.

Too believe we live in a fixed system, on a fixed earth, in a fixed universe, and everything is purely man made, with NO OTHER solar or galatic influences, IS JUST PLAIN IGNORANT. NAIVE AND STUPID or all of the above.
