being very honest here and not trying to re-stoke any arguments at all, but, yours is the silliest of arguments .

BIT225, the drug that Biotron is using to 'cure' HIV, is the same being tested for COVID, so there is little effort/cost for our buck. Considering we're in a twice in a century pandemic - HIV is the other one - with a drug that may prove as effective on both viruses, and Biotron's experience and patents with corona viruses, it would be a crime if they didn't chase COVID with all effort.

If on the other hand, Biotron has entered the 'crowded' COVID space attempting to develop a new drug etc, then you'd have a point. But we have the complete contrary.

Bye the way everyone, if you're wondering if variants BA.4 & BA.5 are making antiviral development more difficult, I'm confident that it does not for BIT225, as E is still highly conserved, with only one mutation that 'should' not alter the outcome. More on this topic on the weekend.

But I suppose Biotron and 'partner' are looking into this (potential partner relationships don't have to be revealed until they are more concrete).
