A Perth health insurer HIF could soon provide cover for ecstasy and magic mushrooms amid evidence suggesting psychedelic drug therapy help people deal with mental health issues.
The insurer’s chief executive Justin James said the medicinal potential with psychedelics was “extraordinary”.
“We also want to play a significant role partnering with providers and manufacturers to reduce the cost that we might not be able to cover in a full rebate as well,” he said.
