The fires were a massive setback to the KI stock price. Samuel Terry did however build their position many years before that though at dirt cheap prices so I am pretty sure even after the share price crashed to 70 cents, I think they were still showing quite a big profit rather than being under water on the KI position.
In isolation though the fires hurt their performance figures around that time as they let the stock build up to a very large weight. I think it even got to more than 20% of their fund. This big weight got reduced quite a bit as they reopened their fund and received many inflows. Probably a fortunate thing they were able to cut the weight a bit before the fires that way.
