    IMO the big issue facing Aborigine people's historic complaint that
    they were racially discriminated against due to them being black,
    is that of the recent arrival of African & Indian migrants.

    Indian Immigrants are climbing the socio/economic ladder by starting
    up their own small businesses (aspirationaly middle class)
    or being already middle class via the professions (EG: Medicine)

    The African immigrants are now migrating ( mainly) from being welfare dependant to
    dinky die Aussie working class.

    This is why, IMO , there has been an extra push by the Indigenous leaders
    to seek advantage via being Indigenous rather than being black.

    That said, however, if Indian & African Immigrants were " compelled"
    to live in outback Aus with limited job/business opportunities, then their welfare
    dependence would likely be no different to that of our outback indigenous peoples.
    This would engender a Culture of Poverty rather than a specific ethnic culture, IMO.

    I guess over time, it'll be interesting to see how African immigrants who have
    favoured concentrating in certain suburbs fair out vs Indigenous people
    in say Redfern. I guess time will tell...eh?

    I guess to be reasonable about racial/ethnic issues, we have to judge by outcomes;
    particuluarly economic outcomes, IMO.
