Peter Botten came on board from Oil Search where he did many transformational and substantial things - both for the company and for Papua New Guinea.
His credentials were impecable. My concern is that I have not heard one word from him promoting Aurelia. The Chairman is not meant to make day to day decisions but should be behind the scenes promoting the company to the big end of town. His association with this small company should be drawing moths to a light. You can all make your own decisions about whether he has been successful or not.
It seems that the big end of town with Aurelia are largely shorters who have helped bury the share price and with it, the companies' credability. Like Dan, nothing has happened since Botten's arrival, other than wealth destruction and poor performance across many benchmarks.
Aurelia has wasted the Kairos Deposit (and the high grade base metal pods at Hera) and is now mining copper whilst the price is low. Federation is probably one of the best new deposits in Australia. With Redpath being the contractor, I have some hope. However, there is no evidence that this management can realise the tremendous value that sits close to the Hera mill. Great Cobar could be a CSA lookalike for all we know.
As I have said previously, albeit with a humerous slant - I am respectfully unsure whether Mr Botten has a pulse or whther he gives a tuppenny intercourse about the place.
