emo, you have the right idea on 2 fronts.....firstly you need to make a plan, then abide by it.....
I call it the 'making my dreams come true plans'....it is not something to be taken lightly, nor an airy fairy approach...
secondly that part of the plan to eventually sell part of the portfolio to reduce debt ....I also agree with....
but then to retain a portfolio for the longer term....
I was lucky I picked 10 little bargains.....but when they grew too big so fast, I sold some at large profits, and ploughed some of those profits back into renos on the other properties.....
Dreams are a promise you make to yourself.....so do not let yourself down, by not doing everything in your power to make your dreams come true.....
the 'making my dreams come true plan' can be applied to any area of your life....or any investment...
I had to wait nearly 5 years to obtain one part of my plan....I had to wait for the property to come onto the market...to become available, so I could snap it up...
and its not so much as good luck.....it is all about good planning....
