Your criticism of OP as implying "people shouldn't build assets" was wrong, OP didn't imply that.
The hypocrisy OP alludes to is that Albo will probably not suffer any loss of personal wealth or comfort. No one likes "one rule for me, one rule for thee".
It's particularly objectionable considering the majority of economically productive people - people who actually do something that generates actual tangible value - do not have much in the way of say in how the economy is run.
Albo has *definitely benefitted economically* from his position in government. It's just kinda yuck that he tells people who don't get the same benefit that it's time to tighten their belt.
