While we are on the subject of harmful. While 300ppm uranium within an undisturbed ore body is not harmful, digging it up, processing it, concentrating it and then dumping it in a natural lake whilst building up the embankment walls to over 40 meters high over the life of the project does pose risks to people and the environment over thousands of years. If people in Greenland don't want to accept the risks, its their entitlement.

I really think GGG need to find a better solution to their tailings storage solution. Tailings embankment failures are known to happen and it doesn't have to be catastrophic, even minor leaks can can cause serious environmental problems.

Have to agree when i read they were dumping tailings in a natural lake to create a permanent toxic waste dump i couldnt see this project ever be funded or supported. You have so much opposition for this project and not just the people of Greenland. They may need another solution if they ever intend on getting this project off the ground.
