The verb for "remaining silent" exists in German (schweig), Dutch (swijk), and Afrikaas (swyk), and it was "swige" in Old English (Anglo Saxon) and "swie" in Early Middle English (think Chaucer's time). Sadly, the word has been lost in modern English, and I have often wish it had not, and I thought that there should be an Association for the Return of Swige to English (ARSE), and associates should wear T-shirts with that acronym writ large.

PS for Cherokee1499, I earned my living in a range of positions, and the closest of them to engieering was computer programming. One has to be logical when writing applications. For instance, one cannot presume that a number that is not negative must be positive - it could be zero.
