I have worked across every sector actually the first quarter of my life was in the public sector where I was involved in developing policies relating to freedom of information, privacy and ethics including looking at genetic engineering implications. I’ve been involved also in workforce policies and practices and major change processes including the education sector. I’ve worked in white collar finance sectors as well as mining and manufacturing, labour hire, consulting and engineering. I’ve worked on change projects, organisational and in usual learning, supply chain processes from raw materials to finished goods and I’ve worked for not for profits including aged care. I’ve worked with Vic police, nz justice department and a range of other organisations. I’ve spent time in every single prison in New Zealand (lol however you want to make that have meaning ) and in high security psychiatric institutions. I’ve also built close familial type relationships with people from a range of countries including Asia, Central Asia, the pacific, Europe and Canada.
so you see I’m not sure that your view of me specialising in the shiny corporate end of the world is quite accurate really. It feels more like another of your assumptions do you can somehow tell me that my view of context is skewed. I also wonder whether you think I don’t understand procedural fairness. It’s deeply embedded into the Australian and New Zealand industrial relations legislation and case law whatever you might like to believe about the private sector.
but for all your exchanges with me not once gave I suggested any knee jerk reaction or consequence to what I regard as a childish and inappropriate act. Neither have most on this thread. What you have done is defend her right to behave as she chooses because she is representing pent up indigenous anger.
of course you’d know that we can all justify our own anger or emotions even when there is objective evidence that might help us see we are wrong. Some are more delusional than others. Surely you don’t believe that everyone’s reality is justified and defensible.
context is everything whether you want to try to diminish or not.
Btw you didn’t answer whether you’d be ok with a disruptive and defiant teacher.
