But I remember exactly what happened in late 2008

Gold and silver were smashed

But, if you wanted to buy it, the major dealers in Australia said they had none!

There was a wait list

Except for one ounce gold from the Perth Mint

The newspaper even misreported this. I remember clearly. They said there was no gold to buy. But I rang the Mint. They stopped any specialty items, like the 2oz nugget. They had a line of one oz nuggets always.

There were no 1kg silver bars at Ainslee (Qld)
