    I agree totally.

    Understand the stocks you are investing in first.

    Secondly, check whether and how the broader market volatility can affect your stock.

    Put away your charts when a company is about to make a gushing announcement.

    You may even decide that a market-supressed price is an opportunity to buy more - that is what I have done.

    But this is only IMO
