If there is no statistically significant difference between the Incyte treatment group and the controls then the trial failed.
You notice that there is a difference, but the stats say it was small enough could have occurred simply by chance. If they want to look for smaller significant differences, then they will need to do larger trials. But that's costly and takes more time, and it might show the same outcome.
The same applies to MSB's treatments.
