Unfortunately, such laws have been necessary and for good reason. We have laws specifically to address and protect disabled people, children, same sex relationships, and minorities, not because we consider these demographics superior or desiring of inherent special statuses but rather that we have realised based on historical realities, that laws designed for the general population tend to be structurally deficient in meeting specific needs for these cohorts.

The statistical realities we live with today demonstrate that Aborigines are faring worse than the general population. You may want to bury your head in the sand and claim we don’t need a framework to try and deal with these inequities or that we don’t need to listen to them if they make suggestions such as constitutional recognition and you may suppose what you’re suggesting is treating everyone equally but unfortunately, your one size fits all narrative is only appealing to you because you are the beneficiary of these historical statistical anomalies and unfortunately, yes you are racist. Read a book perhaps and educate yourself on social justice issues instead of parroting old held ideas that are demonstrably racist.
