What did you want? "I had in depth discussions with the inventor ???" Look I have colleagues who have used this tech, and call them somewhat sceptical types, they are not 100% convinced as to its accuracy and feel it needs further work. I have had a similar experience in 2006 with a "black box" medical device for diagnosing CardioVascular Disease (arterial stiffness) that was all hyped-up at the time, and it turned out to have a high variability in its diagnostic capability (ie poor specificity and sensitivity) and was subject to operator error, to such a degree that the company literally went bust (no that was in error: they sacked the CEO and they reincarnated themselves with new funding/suckers, in a completely different line of business). I made sure I let them know of the issues with their "device" (blackbox), I told them I no longer was going to use it (returned it) and I was sacked. They basically went out of business within 6 months, saved myself a great deal of heartache (and cash) and I came back bigger, better and wiser than ever and have never looked back. In fact I work <20 hrs a week and educate myself further with investing on the other 20 hrs.
This company does need further direction/better management, deal makers who can put shareholders first, as this needs a lot more funding, and it should come from big companies (like Pfizer & ResMed) in the form of large licencing fees/deals and money up front to improve the algorithms that they can be easily (and inexpensively) updated frequently. If there's anything I've learnt about investing, its "don't fall in love with any investment/company, they all have their strengths and weaknesses, and ALL have a price, at any point in time that they should be SOLD for"
Maybe just maybe I'm playing The Devils Advocate. Think about it.....
