Demand may have slowed, currently reducing spot pricing, but the shortage is only getting bigger, so unless there is a sudden massive dump from somewhere onto the LME, with a growing market, prices will stay higher in the long term. Many car manufacters have locked in to stop fossil fuel vehicle production.
