Personally, I do not give a hoot about Roquefort (ROQ), or what it says it is hoping to do. This is because of why I believe it was formed, and what it has done since and what it announces from time to time. A Biotech Company formed by a trio of oil prospectors does not impress me. Oil strugglers becoming Biotech wizards. Give me a break.

However, there are some people on these pages who do seem to give a lot of hoots about ROQ, and who think that vast riches are coming via the Midkine patents owned by Anagenics and licensed to Lyramid/ROQ. And those people are prepared to trumpet ROQ as a source of future big earnings. ROQ is being run by such a fine team isn't it?.

    Well then..........

In June 2022, ROQ announced that it proposed to purchase Oncogeni, a UK Biotech company, which was started in 2019 by Sir Martin Evans, and Ajan Reginald. Both Sir Martin and Reginald have been proposed to be appointed to the ROQ Board, with Reginald being the proposed CEO! It is not for me to elaborate about both of those individuals. Perhaps the following will help instead.

There is/was (until 2018) a Biotech company in the UK called Celixir. I do wish I could master the art of posting links on HC, but all I can do is just direct you to "Requiem for Celixir For better Science". Maybe somebody here can help with the link. Thanks. Strangely enough, the principals of Celixir were/are ..wait for it ....Sir Martin Evans and Ajan Reginald. Fancy that. Spare some sympathy for Daiichi Sankyo which lost 12.5 million pounds. Give a cheer to Dr. Patricia Murray for exposing those two charlatans. There is a lot more in the public arena about Celixir and Sir Martin Evans and Ajan Reginald than just that piece for those ROQ cheerleaders and others wishing to learn more about them.

And ROQ is proposing to appoint those two to the ROQ Board! And ROQ Directors at the recent ROQ AGM actually voted themselves the authority to pay just about anything for anything (read up on it) without needing to bother any pesky shareholders anymore, including paying a new bunch of 50 million ROQ shares to Oncogeni shareholders (Including Sir Martin Evans and Ajan Reginald)!

As I say, I don't care. I am an Anagenics shareholder for reasons other than Midkine. I don't believe that ROQ was formed in order to benefit AN1, and it won't. But I do care for the AN1 shareholders, and possible future AN1 shareholders, who might think that Christmas could be coming via HC posts and ROQ. The only thing coming are the lessons of history. And, by the lessons of history, I mean, the Midkine research report papers (and the Symposiums) from 2010 onwards (Muramatsu. Matsui etc and those many many others after them) look closely more closely even more closely (pretend you are "Big Pharma"). What has ROQ reported which is different and advanced enough to impress those which Halasz, Walton, and Wuurman separately could not? I am not saying that Midkine inhibition cannot happen. What I am saying is that "Big Pharma" did not, and does not, see Midkine inhibition as being profitable enough for them.
