I only own PLS shares because I wish to make a profit.

And please don't read tis as old man yelling at clouds.
I'm all for continuous improvement, and a shift to lower emissions.
And I do think EVs should form part of any responsible personal transport network.

But, I do not believe in the EV-or-nothing fallacy.
To replace every ICE car on the road right now with an EV would absolutely destroy the planet through mining, and strain already struggling electricity grids. Forcing the requirement to switch back on the old coal fried generators.
It will put financial burden on those that cannot afford an EV (read new car).
And be a bloody inconvenience for anyone that needs a car, but does not have a garage to park the thing in.

There are far more meaningful ways to reduce carbon than forcing every poor bastard into an EV, but that would require governments to clamp restrictions and mandates on industry. And it's easier to push Joe Public around than big industry, hence the push for EVs (which ain't going to work) in an attempt to show they are "doing something".

Notice how all the timelines for this shift are well past the used by date of any political party currently in power?
They aren't going to have to deal with the unrealistic transitional mess.
