Fellow shareholders I do not have enough shares to remove Ross Macdonald from his position. Neither do any of you, One of the things Ross has done quite well is entrench himself in a sea of mediocrity surrounded by shareholding that can't easily remove him without hurting themselves - that's simply a matter of the numbers.
Traders can try to average down hoping on good news but Ross can stuff up faster than he can create good news (I thought MEND was going to be bad news - review my comments on this board I have had reservations about MEND all along - but it has been held up as the possibility of news and the signing on of another hospital was claimed I'm pretty sure as a recent achievement - a plan to paint rocks white is a dumb plan - reporting more rocks have been painted white is not reporting value adding progress) but the principle value creation in a company is done by its chief executive officer - he is the priniciple dealmaker and Ross can't make deals.
Fujifilm do not want to loss their investment but can afford to - but can't on their own remove Ross without the support of the other major shareholders which quite frankly have absolutely no reason to be pleased with Ross performance but are unlikely to come together with enough votes to move him.
I want Ross to resign. I don't want to call him or email him and have him listen to my opinion - because he can't do anything about it. And probably none of you want to give a basically decent guy that isn't up to it a piece of what feels like useless and impotent (because you know you don't alone have the share) advice that he should move on. But if enough people express that message that message can be received.
