Friend just got rid of a Nissan Leaf - $15,000 for new battery. Range was down from 300k to 70k !
Even if as you say, warranty is 7 years - that's still crap.
I have an 11 year old Colorado which I bought new, with an Isuzu diesel engine in it which will see me out if looked after. I keep it for towing trailers - but my next SUV will be petrol for town driving - not a chance in hell that I would buy Electric - except perhaps a golf cart.
I do appreciate your efforts though - Aus is decades away from using Ev's (If ever) - I do agree that they should easier to maintain (less parts) - but I dont believe the world can maintain production of batteries for the hordes. Perhaps that is part of the plan.
