    well the problem with generalisations is that they cover up a mass of assumptions and bias and it is much harder to have a decent discussion when those assumptions might not even be apparent to the individual displaying them

    they are actually a one size fits all type of response so I find them intellectually silly. when I use them I’m being lazy.

    the geberalisation I referred to was silly. Cities have more people in them than reside in rural areas (85% in urban with 75% of the population in the capital cities) and I imagine that plenty of them know about kinship responsibilities. It is not a concept restricted to indigenous Australians either.

    however you make like generalisations for one reason or another in which case you just have to cope with me liking to point them out. Feel free to notice my own generalisations
