well, maybe on an individual basis - but, sure not on a societal basis in many areas
if we learned from our mistakes - homelessness would be less, feeding people would be less of a problem, housing affordability would be easier, not harder, we would be somewhat prepared for pandemics - after all - we made big mistakes in the last one - then repeated exactly the same mistakes this time.
we made a mistake not having everyone registered with centrelink - had a huge problem with it - and, still - haven't fixed that very simple to solve problem
sorry, cannot share your enthusiasm for thinking that we learn from our mistakes - at government levels at all.
