Nuclear or coal plants are too expensive to be refurbished.
It is just too expensive to do so given their age and their design. Way cheaper and easier to scrap them and build a new one. That's why you don't see 50 year old ones being refurbished.
I seem to recall the now absent pretend consultant CI make the claim about refurbishment. Of course he never backed it with proof despite being asked multiple times.
A coal fired power/nuclear station is a very complex installation as compared to a wind turbine base.
We are now seeing redundant coal fired power station connections utilised. That's why large grid batteries are being built at old power station sites and projects like the Star of the South will be connected adjacent to the Loy Yang site in Victoria.
Of course, if you had any actual knowledge of the subject , you would know this.
What is it with armchair experts and lying ?
