I expected more price action after the announcement. They are expecting 4 million tonnes per annum at a cost of about $48 per tonne to produce.
That would give an annual profit of around 200 million $US. Considering CPL has a market cap of approx $100 million that would put CPL on a PE ratio of 0.5 which is ridiculous and will be at least 7 when production approaches.
Yes it will take time ( 2 to 3 years ) but the coal is in the ground and wont dissappear. Not to mention that with the new tennaments the JORC should be upgraded to more than a billion tonnes, CPL seems a no brainer to me.
Im in for the long haul and welcome any thoughts on CPL.
Good luck
