your wish that G.W. calling you the names of potential candidates at this point in time is understandable but far from any reality.
for one thing, we still have to wait five weeks before G.W. can hold official talks…. and secondly, such talks are always kept top secret….. naturally serves to protect the candidate…. many potential candidates will currently be employed elsewhere…. what do you think happens when the current employer finds out that his top man is in talks with TNG….
For example, if VW were looking for a new CEO, the board of directors responsible would never, ever give you potential names… these discussions will take place in secret and after VW’s decision-making, a name will be presented…. all those who were spoken to but who were not hired then at least kept their good reputation.. Speculations about names are left to the press.... such is general business practice worldwide in terms of hiring…
Never mention names in advance!! Thats one of the most important business rule.
The same applies in sports when looking for a new coach…. I have never experienced it, for example in football, where a club that is looking for a new coach tells the fans in advance which coaches they will talk to…. The club say they will talk to several coaches and then choose the best one.... and that's exactly how it's going to work here... I am 100% convinced that G.W. will come up with a very capable CEO when the time comes….
