@dangerat I made a few phone calls seeking a point of view on the board issues at TNG and they were to a mix of governance specialists including risk advisors, legal specialists, auditors and some AICD Fellows and the feedback is that it is a seething clusterfornicate (to use an Alan Kohler expression) and nothing good will come out of it for TNG shareholders on either side of ledger. Some made reference to a company called Murray River Organics (MRG) that went through a similalr process not so long ago between two camps of egos. You can look up MRG to see the end result, it wasn't good for any shareholder either.
Not fantastic news but thats the reality view from experienced and some well qualified non-participants in the TNG board coup.
The AEV announcement today at a super quick glance will put to rest any possible uprising of a board coup in the shareholder ranks of AEV unless the board of AEV slip up in any way in regards some of the claims in the current announcement. So essentially it distances AEV from TNG in a comparison of any form.
