Wow! talk about reflux! On the ABC's 7:30 program I just watched the root cause of the current Liberal Party's parlous state of affairs in full flight, apparently promoting the release of his latest self-promotional 'book'. Howard's commitment to WIN-LOSE ideological warfare against the lives and livelihoods of battlers sees him standing alone as the politician responsible for the two greatest tax impositions on Aussie Battlers in history and for transforming the Liberal Party into the political movement dedicated to $Feeding $Greed regardless as to the consequences: 1. Parity pricing for petroleum fuels which excluded business and the oh-so-wealthy who were able to structure their incomes into 'businesses' and which dramatically transferred wealth from workers to business interests, including those from overseas. 2. Howard's imposition of the largest tax increase in history - his 10% GST that even further rips off battlers, retirees and pensioners [adding further to Howard's tax on petroleum products]. 3. Howard's extension of superannuation to wealthy Australians who will never need it. 4. Howard's massive tax cuts for Australia's highest income earners which transferred the taxa burden onto battlers. Well on 7:30 tonight when quizzed about conservatives no longer even honouring Westminster conventions Howard was dismissive of the latest damning revelations about Morrison. He appeared to back Morrison's corruption of Westminster conventions and his secretive usurping of ministerial powers. It's my assessment that when it comes to $Feeding $Greed, nothing else matters to Australia's current Liberal Party and its opaque backers.

Howard has priors on the Westminster system and principals. He was the one that diminished the age old tradition of a Minister falling on their sword for a severe enough issue in their portfolio. And he showed his colours again this evening by stating he would not advocate Morrison resigning due to the fallout of a by election. On the transfer of wealth - don't leave Costello out of it....the transfer of - was it 2.5 million into Super during his time?
