    Morning HLL,

    Today's Picks

GGP/GGPO/VIL: Both stocks had surprisingly strong starts yesterday but weakened during the day, closing near their respective lows. I took the opportunity to buy some VIL's at 6.9 cents which I held overnight. I was surprised that no announcement came out about the progress made on testing but perhaps we'll get one today. As previously stated if the initial flow rates are good then the price may well gap up after an announcement. Technically the charts on both GGP and VIL look bearish in the short term so further weakness is likely this morning. News Due: Flow rates from the lowest interval of the Fausse Point well.

MHM/MHMO: A progress report was released yesterday stating that the salt slat plant upgrade is proceeding on schedule and that productivity is up 25% in the first week of operations. More important in the short term, is that an update is due on the silica project within the next week. Although the stock paused today I expect interest to build in the next few days with new all time highs likely to be reached. Provided today is positive the technical's will still look good as well. News Due: An update on the Silica project (Wacker AG) is due by the 17th of February. Plans for exploration on gold and base metal projects located in Tasmania.

ORD: The ORD chart is still looking pretty bullish in the short term, however there is a gap between 4.7 and 4.8 which should get filled today. I sold some trading stock at 5.1 cents yesterday that I bought the day before at 4.5 cents but that is no reflection on where I see the stock heading in the longer term. The stochastic and RSI are rising off lows but the MACD still has some work to do to achieve a positive cross. News Due: Update of development plans for the bauxite project in Laos. Progress on approval of exploration plans for the Copper Flats project.

ARM: A much stronger performance by ARM yesterday with the chart starting to look bullish again, although confirmation is needed today. The bot trading which has been a regular feature of recent days trading was absent yesterday as the buying became more aggressive. If the stock manages to break the previous record high of $1.115 today then a move to $1.25 is likely underway. News Due: Details of upcoming exploration program for the company's Capricorn Manganese project.

SSN: I haven't conducted due diligence on this stock hence I didn't hold overnight but it was a very strong performance yesterday backed up by the announcement of oil and gas shows in their current drilling. Others on the DT thread have raised some concerns about the number of shares and debt levels so I will need to conduct some research before deciding whether this has the potential as a longer term hold. In the mean time I'll watch for opportunities to trade again today.. News Due: Results from drilling of the Gene #1-22H well.
