but besides war,
Vale is a bigger producer than either BHP or RIO and could do a deal with China,
plus China also may be going hammer and tongs into getting iron ore from Africa and from what I hear the iron ore in Guinea is the
largest deposit in the world and higher grade than Australia's.
I hope China don't succeed but their determination and manpower is second to none, and if they do get Guinea up and running,
albeit some years away, they may well give us the one finger salute as they did to our wine, barley and other exporters.
not saying these things are likely to happen nor that I wish them to, but the chances are higher than zero
and the consequences for BHP would be disastrous given China consumes 70% of the world's iron ore.
