A very good point Noturfault. POSCO may be restricted to Aussie graphite to fulfil the US requirements.
That could obviously put RNU in a powerful position to negotiate.
Quote from the article, "Because under the wide-ranging IRA, 40 per cent of the value of the critical minerals in the battery must be sourced from a country that has a free-trade agreement with the US, then rising to 80 per cent by 2027.
It applies to minerals such as lithium, nickel, cobalt and graphite."
I imagine DC would be very busy renegotiating in this rapid changing landscape.
It also put a smile on my face when the senator said Australia "had the (worlds) largest reserves of graphite."
He wouldn't mean RNU would he?
So good to see graphite getting the big mentions rather than just the usual lithium, nickel etc.and
Labor showing so much support for critical minerals.
Go the mighty RNU
