There were two Phase 3 studies terminated early in 2020 that you may wish to take a look at. The DapaCKD Trial which showed the benefit of a SGLT2 inhibitor in non diabetic proteinuria CKD and the RECOVERY Trial showing benefit of steroids in ventilated patients suffering from COVID. Both were published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
They are both great studies that appear to have impacted best clinical practice.
But my point is the number of patients who were randomised and followed in these studies before a statistically significant benefit was seen.
Patient numbers are thousands.
I don’t believe there has ever been a Phase 3 trial discontinued early having randomised 49 patients that has shown efficacy. So, Be on the Boil, that’s why I used “ disappoint” in my previous post.

Please correct me if you have examples that challenge my assumption.
