A lot of excitement over Scomos's secret portfolios is based on the assumption that it was illegal and somehow :Anti democratic. Imo this procedure is perfectly legal. Scomo acted in good faith at the start of the Pandemic, wanting to be a backstop in case of emergency.
As far as his decision to veto the gas exploration project, again imo the buck stops with the PM and be had the power to legitimately make that decision. The fact that he now adds the further reason why he is happy with the decision, clearly referencing environmental reasons ( irrespective whether supported by religious convictions) does not in any way detract from his legal right to do so as PM.
would be nice to see the sp skyrocket but I anticipate tomorrow Albo ( who's been dining out on this irrelevant issue instead of getting on with the job) will reveal the Attorney general's opinion confirms the fact Scomo acted legally.
