Yes, I sense an element of broad loathing of the discretionary retail sector will manifest itself at some point in the next 6 months, and I want to prepare myself - in the event that I am proven correct - to look to buy (noting that I'm not really a fan of investing in retailing businesses).

Something I want to ask:

During the fog of war yesterday with a torrent of results all being released at the same time, I recall reading something said by some company's CEO in relation to inventory management in today's times, which I thought was most pertinent.

In the CEO justifying a strategy to increase inventories and raw materials, his statement went something along the lines of, "We prefer to see inventory than wondering where it is coming from".

For the life of me, I can't recall who posted that anecdote and on what stock forum it was posted. I thought it was you, but I've gone through your posts and I don't see it, so it must have been someone else. In my mind's recesses, I recall it being a poster on the ADH threads?

Can anyone be of assistance?
