I'd happily live in Melbourne. But must admit the 4 seasons in one day can be trying. Whilst it gets hot, too hot on occasions, it is cooler more often than not.
But weather aside, as that is a parochial thing, it is a great city in the sense of community. Sydney is the complete opposite and I will never live there again.
Community is a big thing and its going to mean more and more over time as cities like Sydney become completely impersonal.
Take your point about the speed camera's. But my response is this, don't speed!!! Oh and please don't say 'easier said than done'. Here in NSW they tell you where every single speed camera is and guess what, everyone speeds up to them, slows down, then speed up again. PROOF, people can slow down. Anyway, these sorts of camera's are more a traffic hazard I reckon.
