Perhaps if you talk to IG in advance and explain how the AVZ sp will at least double on open, then be 5x by the end of the week, they might cut you some slack. Also, it is probable that some time after AVZ recommences trading, IG will decrease the AVZ margin requirement. Maybe down to 50% at first, then back to 20% a little while later. I am not trying to be flippant here. That is, I recommend that you call IG and discuss your scenario with them, then follow up with a formal email to propose a compromise solution based on the options that you discussed with them. Please note that I am not in any way affiliated with IG, but I do trade CFDs with a difffernet broker.
