Here is a question for those who believe PEP11 will/may get approved. Albanese's pre-election stance re. the project is widely known. At least the view he held in the past. As you would know, he stated when he stood on the beach at Avoca “A Labor government that I lead will rule out PEP 11 full stop”. Yes, politicians change their minds and the situation may have changed. However, certain groups have already stood up and reminded the PM to honour his commitments opposing PEP 11. What are some of the reasons you believe may cause the PM to change his quite assertive and strong position from only 6 months ago and how would he justify this change of mind when confronted by people/politicians who are opposed to the project and who would most likely publicly remind him of his promises. Thank you for your views/perspective.

PS: My apologies if this question has already been discussed.
