I have some work to do over the weekend.
I read a little about BB history of seismic activity but from what I found the last serious incident happened over 2 decades ago. From what I've read the there was several changes to the mine design to mitigate the problem ( increased access points, reinforced plating, changes in orientation of drive shafts and closure of problematic blasting zones).
Your point about the rock hardness is an interesting one. I would have thought changing the cone crusher, jaw crusher, crushing circuit etc would be a relatively inexpensive compared to the 2mtpa upgrade scoping study quote of 65 mill .
I never thought there were nefarious intentions behind the accounting change but I could be wrong. I'm going to have a dig around to compare the old numbers for Tuckabianna and Bluebird.
Agree on GCY, luckily I have an absolute boat load of them. Sitting real pretty.
I am extremely glad GCY didn't merge with WGX. Maybe GCY will buy out WGX lol.
