no the huge attraction ia nuclear fission can provide extremely low carbon baseload power generation.
while i like nuclear fusion as well, we cant gey in any time frame that stops clinate change. and to continue yo grow as a species.
While theoretical, pure fusion bombs can exist. its just more efficient to use a fiasion reaction to detonate a fusion bomb (thermonuclear weapons)
Fission is cheaper than renewables.
