Thankyou, I was unaware that fusion could be used to crete weapons grade material. Although why would anyone bother as the current uranium enrichment (and now the laser enrichmeneven simpler and cheaper) is far easier and available.
Regarding the cost of renewables a lot depends on location, geography and climate, but certainly cheaper in Australia.
The cost of nuclear in most cases is higher, uninsurable (governments/taxpayer must foot the bill for accidents) and not one nuclear reactor in the world has been built either on time or on budget.The much hailed SMRs have no price and are not available.(maybe by the end on the decade)
