tell me about it! That was my point. I got my purchase price back in dividends faster than any company I’ve ever owned.
but there’s no doubt there has been a lot of historical concern about the use of cash at grr (property development in Melbourne etc) and the pricing mechanism, which resulted in the share price being so suppressed despite a very strong balance sheet.
anyway it doesn’t preclude an investment in yal, but I don’t think you would find many preferring to own Chinese controlled entities but each to their own.
