I think we need to transition to better cleaner system’s when they become available, Scotty.
It’s just we haven’t reached a point where we have viable alternatives, yet.
Solar is the cheapest, I’ve been told but it only works sometimes and then only for 6-8 hours a day on any good day. If you consider the costs associated with adding battery storage and what not to use this “cheap” form of energy production it certainly isn’t cheap. And that’s without consideration of the materials needed to be mined and converted into materials to produce the panels or the economic practicalities of recycling the panels once they past their usefulness.
