Here's my back of napkin (well front of iPad) calcs on possible divvies. A very simple calculation.
SOI = 2,978,346,869 (let's call it 3 billion to make maths easy).
Conservative NPAT = $2B for FY23
Let's be conservative again on a 25% dividend payout ratio of the NPAT. $500M - it's more likely to be 50%
$3B SOI / $500M = 16c per share.
I know for many this will cover either all or close to half their original investment.
Happy for someone to pick holes at this. Two drivers are actual NPAT and the dividend payout ratio.
