The prices quoted in the Avocet web site have three decimal places after the decimal point which may be mistaken for a comma. ie. U$/mtu 62.000 - U$/mtu 66.000 is really refering to $62 - $66 dollars not $62,000 to $66,000.
It is important to note that U$/mtu does not actually mean per tonne of tungsten metal as Tungsten prices quoted in metric tonne units WO3, which refers to the equivalent of 1% of a tonne/ton, ie. 10 Kilograms of W03. Since WO03 is 79.3% Tungsten, in the case of metric tonne units, would contain 7.93kg of tungsten content.
Another important thing to remember when you look at prices for Tungsten is that if you are getting it from a buyer, it is not in their interest to report the highest paid U$/mtu for a particular period, if you know what I mean. These guys try to dominate the market to suit themselves, at least for the short term.
