i think that the market places importance on JORC compliant resource because they are signed of by a member of something or other and have to be qualified in something else or something, so if they sign off on it and its incorrect there something or thingamebob, buggered maybe.

an inferred resource usaly contains any old crap that can be loaded into the data base and added to the resource including some random u hit that will never be mined or feasablebecause theres not enough in that area to make it pay.

a quite common practice is to round up all the crap results and add them to an inferred resource and release it to the market so everyone goes yeah baby, is this blue sky or what, there is only up side and i cant believe no one has figured out the value of this stock and its only a matter of time before the market figures this out blah blah blah, heard that before anyone?
