I drive on country roads all the time, in a week I could easily drive 2,000 km; and I don't recall ever coming across a car stopping in the middle of the road when the speed limit is 100kph and there are only two lanes for traffic.
Abbott's driver nearly killed goodness knows how many people. Utter lunacy IMO.
The truck driver was brilliant. No way was he at fault. With the minibus in the way, I'm surprised the truck driver even saw the car at all, let alone that he could react so quickly and still keep control of that huge vehicle.
