The truckie did an exceptional job, to get that truck off the road they way he did without it jack knifing was amazing, well done no one killed or injured. For those that have not driven a semi, any sudden change of direction at speed generally causes a whip lash effect causing the trailer to whip sideways takes exceptional brake and accelerator control to do what this truck driver did.If I had been Abbott I would have walked over and thanked the truckie for his obvious skill in handling the rig, as far as the cops will be concerned there was a near miss which happens everyday. I am sure Abbott would have been attending church yesterday after seeing the footage and saying some Prayers of thanks.
